software as .rpm and .deb from the openSUSE Build Service

Install repos for the distribution of your choice can be found at download.opensuse.org. If you want to access the sources by which the package is built use the osc (OpenSUSE Build Service Commander) with checkout. Osc is directly available for openSUSE and Debian and packaged itself by the OBS und build.opensuse.org for other distros. IRC libera.chat #opensuse-buildservice.

installation under openSUSE

> zypper ar http://download.videolan.org/pub/vlc/SuSE/11.4 elstel > zypper lr > zypper refresh > zypper in mypackage

installation under Mageia

> dnf config-manager --add-repo http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/elws:/elstel/Mageia_8/home:elws:elstel.repo > dnf repoinfo > dnf install mypackage

installation under Fedora/RedHat

> yum-config-manager --add-repo http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/elws:/elstel/Fedora_36/home:elws:elstel.repo > yum repolist all/enabled/disabled > man yum.conf for editing /etc/yum.repo.d/xx.repo > yum install mypackage

software as .deb built by launchpad of Canonical´s Ubuntu / Deb-Mentors

Currently built for Ubuntu Jammy. Packages like xchroot which do not need compiled code and/or have minimal dependencies should work under any Debian based distro. Package installation instructions can be found on the launchpad site. If you want the source package for a Debian related distro download it from here. Otherwise you can check out the package via osc (OpenSUSE Build Service Commander) and use ./debexport.

OBS keys can be found under repodata/ in the respective OBS repository.

mirrors

ftp5.gwdg.de is mirroring packages from elstel and the OBS. It can be used by rpm search engines to adopt a wider range of interesting software.
